Dymocks Breakfast

Dymocks Auckland Business Breakfast- 24th October 2007

Dymocks New Zealand’s launched its involvement in Management Focus by hosting a breakfast event at their Queen Street store on Wednesday 24th October.  It was a low-key, casual morning with a great discount and prize offered by Dymocks and a collection of speakers sharing their insights on developing capability.

Dean Brettschneider, a successful internationally based baker shared his experience of doing business in China and the importance of building relationships and developing strong networks.  He is currently in New Zealand publicising his new book ‘Global Baker’.

Liz Wotherspoon of The IceHouse spoke of their experiences in assisting SME owner operators to develop their business beyond its current performance.  The Icehouse is excited about Management Focus and the involvement of so many capability development organisations in such a collaborative and progressive initiative.

Reg Birchfield, editor of Management Magazine offered a partner vision for Management Focus now and beyond, emphasising that Management Focus is not about telling you the best way to increase your capability, but rather providing resources, tools and examples to assess your capability and then suggesting a variety of actions you could take to address any gaps.

The Management Focus partners wish to thank Dymocks NZ for hosting this breakfast and look forward to further Dymocks/ Management Focus events in the future.
